A brief mid-holiday-season update

 Xena is teething! I anticipate the next few weeks (months?) will be full of even more puppy chewing.

That being said, my late WIP, A Midwinter Prince, is moving along nicely. Once it's done, I'm going to get the giant epic crossover into Aeon Timeline so I can keep all my plot threads organized.

Also, my book is out in audiobook format! It's got a happy ending AND a service dog, so it's the perfect remedy for post-family holiday burnout.

Finally, as we lead up to New Year's, I ask only one thing: Promise me you will NOT drink and drive, and that you won't let anyone else drink and drive. Take away keys, call a car service, let someone crash on the couch. Do whatever you need to be safe out there, okay?

Congratulations on your book coming out in audio! That's incredible in every way! I work closely with the audio department at my work and watching books become audio is like watching magic come into being!

Good luck with Xena's teething! Radio's gotten a start this week as well. I'm continually freezing and rotating out his puppy chews for relief. It's got a 40% success rate.

I actually did the narration for some courses at the old for-profit university where I worked, when we were transitioning from old photocopied textbooks and individual teacher notes to standardized web-based curriculum. (The project was so wildly off budget, it was cheaper to pay my salary and have me do the recording while our multimedia guy did the editing than to hire an actual narrator.)

How incredible! I imagine doing voice work to be incredibly difficult and exhausting. Back when I was a retail manager, my job was literally to talk all day. If it wasn't to customers it was employees. When I'd come home sometimes my voice would be hoarse. And I wasn't doing anything fancy, just my regular talking. So I have infinite respect for how difficult voice work must be. I'm sure there are difficulties about it I can't even imagine since I don't have experience doing it.

YAY for new words! I'm in post-holiday burnout, and am going to be moving sometime soon, but I'm re-reading your words before I pack up your books. <3 And we'll be walking for New Year's FWIW. :)
